8. Adreas² Huber (Andrew Hoover) (Johannes¹) was born in Ellerstadt in the Palatinate May 13, 1724. Adreas died Believed to be around 1797 in Randolph Co., NC.

He married Margaret Catherine Pfautz. Margaret was born in Zweibruecken (Rheinish Palatinate) c 1725. She was the daughter of Jacob Pfautz and Maria Elizabeth ???. He came to America in September 1838 on the ship Two Sisters and settled in Lancaster, PA.

About 1750, he moved to Mirey Springs, MD near Pipe Creek. About 1779 he took up land on Uwharrie River in the Tabernacle Township of Randolph Co., NC where he built a grist mill.

Andrew and Margaret are the first American ancestors of Herbert Hoover.

• 14 iv. Jacob Huber Hoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1751. Jacob died 1821. He married Elizabeth Stutzman c 1776.

• 15 v. Andrew Jr. Huber Hoover was born in Randolph Co., NC September 21, 1752. Andrew died December 29, 1834 in Whitewater, IND, at 82 years of age. He married Elizabeth Waymire in Randolph Co., NC, 1776.

• 16 vi. Catherine HuberHoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1754. She married Thomas (Byrns) Burns in NC, c 1774.

• 17 vii. Daniel HuberHoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1756. Daniel died February 13, 1819 in Ohio. He married Hannah Mast in NC, c 1785.

• 18 viii. Rachel HuberHoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1758. She married George (Sink) Zinck. She was the 2nd wife of George Sink/Zinck

• 19 ix. John HuberHoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1760. John died c 1831. He married Sarah Burkhart Burkhead. This is President Herbert Hoover's direct line.

• 20 x. Susannah HuberHoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1763. She married John Mast.

• 21 xi. David HuberHoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1766. David died July 1, 1841 in Montgomery Co., Ohio. He married twice. He married Mary Mast. He married Elizabeth Curtis.

• 22 xii. Peter HuberHoover was born in Randolph Co., NC c 1769. Peter died February 16, 1840. He married Elizabeth Byrns Burns.

• 23 xiii. Henry Huber Hoover was born in Randolph Co., NC July 25, 1773. Henry died March 11, 1842 in Indiana, at 68 years of age. He married Elizabeth Liss Fouts Foutz.
