1. William1 Ray was born in TN c 1823.
He married Margaret ?. I NEED HELP WITH THIS SURNAME!!!!!! William's middle name could have been
Nathaniel, but not sure of that. Also, in 1860 he lived in McNairy Co., TN and there is a John W. Wray, born c 1844 living with them.
Perhaps this is a son of William's from a former marriage??? I cannot find William and Margaret in the 1850 TN census anywhere. In 1860,
there is also a Lawson Runnels b. c 1840 living with them. In 1861, Lawson married a Naomi Tacker in McNairy Co. and then in 1872 he
married a M.A. Tacker in McNairy Co. On the 1870 TN census, William and Margaret with children are living in Hardin Co., TN. By
1880 they are in Gibson Co., TN. Would appreciate any further information.
