This fast-growing BPCR shooting sport  consists of shooting at steel silhouette chickens at 200 meters, pigs at 300 meters, turkeys at 385 meters and rams way out there at 500 meters.   Chickens are shot in the standing off-hand position.  All other animals may be shot from a prone or sitting position with the aid of cross sticks.   A match usually consists of 40 shots--10 shots fired at each bank of animals.

There are only two gun clubs in Oklahoma that conduct NRA sanctioned BPCR Silhouette matches.  These clubs are Tulsa's Red Castle Gun Club located on the John Zink Ranch near Sand Springs, and the Oklahoma City Gun Club located near Arcadia.     Regular club matches are held the 1st Sunday of each month at Red Castle and the 2nd Sunday of each month at Oklahoma City Gun Club.
